Editor: Lynnette Woo
While other Asian mothers fought to sign their junior high kids up for higher level math classes (stereotypical, I know), Lynnette’s mother went to the registrar’s office to transfer her daughter into basketball P.E. That day pretty much sealed her fate; Lynnette played ten years of basketball, including a four-year run with the CIF-winning Brea Olinda Ladycats. Shortly thereafter, Lynnette made the career switch from professional women’s basketball player to magazine editor. Because who says you have to be tall to boss people around?
